Bball in the sky was founded in 2017 by Mehdi Ould Kherroubi Hacine-Bey, PhD — a Brussels-raised former semi-professional basketball player. The project was born from a simple observation: historic outdoor courts across Belgium were disappearing, and their communities were losing a vital gathering place.

Our mission is to make people dream through sport, art and design. To achieve this, we offer sports court design and renovation, large-scale urban art, basketball tournaments & initiation, urban planning proposals, and a lifestyle webshop — all rooted in streetball culture.

People and culture

At bball in the sky, we believe that great projects are built by great people. Our team brings together a rare mix of expertise — from urban art and project management to business development, logistics and visual storytelling. Every member was chosen not only for their skills, but for their shared conviction that sport, art and design can genuinely transform communities. We are a tight-knit, caring team, and that energy shows in everything we create.
